For our reading group in July we picked a different book. The Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan is about a young boy who dreamed of being chosen to become an apprentice knight only to find himself rejected and chosen by the strange Ranger, Halt. What he doesn't know is that the Ranger's are also the protectors of the kingdom, who will fight the battles before the battles reach the people. There is a battle brewing. The exiled Morgarath, Lord of the Mountains of Rain and Night, is gathering his forces...
This is a wonderful book that you will want to read with your kids or grandkids. It has a good storyline that catches your attention with great appeal for both young and old alike.
