Our book for this month was Rain of Gold by Victor Villasenor. This book is describes by the New York Rimes Book Reveiw as "A grand and vivid history...the characters are keenly drawn...often I felt like a family member watching from a corner stool."
I loved this book. There were times when I was so drawn into the story that I felt overwhelmed with sorrow over the circumstances I felt a part of. I will never forget this family and their migration to America. It's truly a story with reading.
